Armed Supervisor - FPS/DHS Contract

Now hiring for Armed Security Supervisors to support an FPS/DHS Federal contract in the Eastern Pennsylvania Area.

The Supervisors are accountable for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Our Supervisors act as a visible deterrent to crime and client policy infractions; they identify and report suspicious, dangerous or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts which may be a threat to the property, clients, guests or employees at the site. Though essential duties may differ based on the post at which they work, below are some of the standards:

  • Ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
  • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with the client, employees, and guests.
  • Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
  • Handle security issues and emergency situations according to MaxSent and property-specific protocol.
  • Monitor and track discipline notices issued to employees.
  • Ensure a positive "Customer Experience" for all visitors, guests, etc.
  • Available to work more than 8 hours a day/night and swing shift.
  • Cover open post, when needed.
  • Remain flexible to ever-changing environment; adapts well to different situations.
  • Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
  • Sign off on timesheets for subordinate staff.
  • Monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms.
  • Assist contract manager with any additional duties assigned.
  • Write detailed narrative reports, and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)
  • Respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
  • Maintain all current licensing and training requirements.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for a multi-site operation.
  • Coordinate and complete weekly payroll as well as official reports.
  • Provide training and discipline to subordinate officers as needed.
  • Understand site-specific operations including manuals and post orders.
  • Assist with recruitment activities.
  • Administer discipline to subordinate staff in accordance with the collective bargain agreement (CBA).

Qualifications:

  • Must be a United States Citizen, or a
    • Lawful permanent resident who is currently a member of, or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from, any component of the United States Armed Forces
  • Been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration, which bears the individuals names and social security number
  • One (1) year supervisor or management experience
  • Have verifiable documentation of at least one experience level and at least one educational level or any reasonable combination listed below:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of security (armed) or law enforcement experience; or
  • A minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any U.S. Armed Forces component
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED, or
  • a minimum of 60 credit hours in a related field from an accredited institution, or
  • Successful completion of a federal/state certified law enforcement education and training or police officer’s standard training course that may result in a law enforcement appointment or commission.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required, verbal and written fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.
  • Neat and professional appearance.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations efficiently and effectively at client site.
  • Depending on experience and Federal Protective Service Suitability
